Comics For Learning English Fast And Easy

As I was growing up I found that reading comics really helped a lot to improve my english. Now I want to help my 11th-year-old son with learning the same way.

Which comics do you recommend for Learn English?

  • Usagi Yojimbo, a very enjoyable comic about an anthropomorphic samurai. Jodorowsky mentions in one of the introductions that he was reading it with his kids.
  • Calvin and Hobbes
  • I’ve heard good things about Saga, but never read it. Is it too much for an 11-year-old I think.
  • Adventure Time or Regular Show, both have comics that are pretty good. The context of the show will help him initially understand too.
  • Locke and Key is a good mystery/ghost type story good for 11 year old and is available here.
  • The best comics to learn english is:

Donald Duck is pretty sweet, and you don’t really have to worry about the stories being too inappropriate for a kid. There are tons of stories, and spin offs, too, so you’ll have plenty of material if he takes to it.

This is definitely the way to go. I have over 170 GB of Disney comics. They’re tons of fun.

Other stuff I read when I was 11 included Richie Rich and other Harvey kids stuff, Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, and Archie. All of those have been published for decade, with hundreds of books to choose from.
